Momenta makes the movie-watching experience memorable and fun by allowing global movie lovers to synchronously watch movies together in watch parties. Users can join an ongoing watch party or set a reminder for a future one; they can also create their own watch parties and invite anyone worldwide or just their friends and families. Through My Chat, users can message to individual users or a group of friends to discuss movies before or after the watch parties. After clicking on the “Join the party” button to enter a watch party, users can share their reactions to a particular moment from the movie using emojis; they can highlight quotes they like and share with their social networks. Using dark-themed visual design guidelines with Gestalt Principles in mind, along with design principles of minimalism, intuitiveness, and accessibility, our team hopes to connect communities around the world during and beyond the movie-watching moments.
