01. The Problem

In large-scale enterprise finance, manual approval workflows are the primary cause of operational friction. Finance teams often spend up to 40% of their time manually verifying transaction data against internal policies and regulatory standards.
Bottlenecks in approval routing lead to delayed payments, while manual audit trails are prone to human error—creating significant compliance risks. We needed a system that could intelligently parse, categorize, and route transactions while maintaining absolute auditability for regulatory oversight.
Design Process
Stakeholder Mapping
Conducted ethnographic research with treasury and accounting teams to map the nuances of enterprise financial hierarchies and compliance thresholds.
Workflow Optimization
Redesigned the transaction lifecycle to integrate agentic triggers, ensuring 'high-confidence' approvals are automated while 'low-confidence' items are surfaced for review.
HITL Integration
